Ring is Amazon. Your front door footage flows to US servers under Amazon's terms -terms that have allowed sharing with law enforcement in the US without a warrant. The Netatmo Video Doorbell does everything Ring does, stores footage locally on a micro-SD card, and requires no Amazon account or subscription. The trade-off: wired installation only, and a smaller ecosystem. If your door is already wired, this swap is straightforward.
