Our honest take
Xiaomi offers remarkable hardware for the money. The trade-off is straightforward: your phone is designed, made, and cloud-connected in China. HyperOS sends telemetry to servers you have no legal recourse against. If you're comfortable with that, it's a strong device. If you'd rather keep your usage data in Europe and support a company with a repair commitment, the Fairphone 6 is the most comparable European option.
